Seasons Greetings and Happy Holidays! It's that time of year again where we become crazy busy, spend lots of money, and a lot of time getting reacquainted with family and friends. Many of you will be traveling and others of you will be having your first holiday celebration in the U.S. As you embark on your cultural traditions and perhaps create new ones, I would like to introduce you to some of the most common Christmas traditions here in the U.S. As your English language guru, I have decided to take it a step further and provide you with a little history lesson on how certain traditions in the U.S. became common.
For this month's FREE Resource, I have provided you the opportunity to learn a little more about the U.S. (your new home away from home) and share with me a little about your culture. Consider this activity a little Christmas gift exchange between the both of us.
Check out the short video below about the History of Christmas Traditions in the U.S. And please feel free to explain in a couple sentences, some of the most common holiday traditions in your culture.
Toyita's Language Corner,LLC wishes you and your family a peaceful and joyful holiday! See you in the new year!
