Tongue Twisters Part 2

Back by popular demand, this month we are going to give a few new tongue twisters a try. A big part of successful language acquisition is practice, practice, and more practice! So let's get that tongue a much needed workout.

Keep in mind that the sounds of the English language may not be familiar to your ears, and neither are they to your tongue. Tongue twisters are a fun way to get the practice you need orally. It may seem silly at first, but keep going. Don't be shy. The sillier you feel, the more fun you will have.

Here's what you do:

1) Check google translate, dictionary.com, or your favorite online dictionary for the most accurate pronunciation for any words you are unsure about.

2) Begin by saying the tongue twister slowly in order to get a feel for the words in your mouth and the sounds you are producing.

3) Try to speed up the pace the second time you say the tongue twister.

4) When you are comfortable saying the tongue twister completely, try to say it three times in a row to take this challenge to the next level.

5) And lastly, don't forget to laugh and have fun as you are doing this. Laughter is the best medicine for anything that is difficult.

Leave a comment below and share how well you mastered these English tongue twisters.
