As another year comes to a close, we find ourselves preparing for a fresh start, setting new resolutions or goals, visualizing the changes we failed to make in the previous year, and of course making more time to reach our language dreams. But before all of this begins, you may be thinking about your annual New Year's celebration and all the traditions that go along with it.
Many cultures celebrate in a variety of ways from circling around the block with a luggage to bring forth opportunities to travel to festive parties on the beach that last all night long. Here in the United States there are many ways to celebrate and the plethora of traditions vary from coast to coast. One popular tradition that you may be familiar with is the Time Square ball drop in New York City. This iconic celebration attracts millions of visitors each year for it is one of the largest New Year's countdowns in the world. But do you know the history behind this popular event?
